Google has mitigated expectations of faster availability of Google Search Console data. Even the new version of Search Console will not give any significant improvements.
In General, the data in Google Search Console lag at least two days behind. At the moment the backlog is even a full week due to logging problems.
Will this change in the future? Rather not as Johannes Müller explained in a current webmaster hangout. This is mainly due to the fact that Google has to collect the data from different sources and prepare them before the presentation in the Search Console.
Even with the expected new version of Search Console, there will probably be a second-day backlog of the data. In the best case, this could be reduced to one day. However, a shorter time was not possible to ensure that all data could be processed on time.
